You earn 50% of the revenue from every opportunity shown in your terminal. Opportunities — jobs, startup roles, and dev-tool recommendations — appear occasionally between commands, chosen to match what you're working on.
Where opportunities come from
The shell hook classifies each command into a coarse category locally (e.g. git, docker, python) and, when it's relevant and not too frequent, shows a single sponsored line after the prompt. Frequency is capped so it never gets noisy.
How impressions are counted
Every impression is validated before it earns. Bot/CI traffic and anything that fails fraud checks doesn't count, and there's a daily cap per install. For each validated impression, you earn 50% of what the advertiser paid (a CPM — cost per thousand impressions).
How much can you earn?
It depends on how active you are in the terminal and what advertisers are paying — there's no fixed per-opportunity rate. Heavy terminal users see more opportunities and earn more. It's found money for work you're already doing, not a salary.
